Pre Assessment Senior Nurse

Delivering highquality, evidencebased preassessment care Conduct comprehensive facetoface and telephone assessments Analyse clinical findings and determine patient fitness for surgery Liaise with anaesthetists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care Perform triage of referrals and patient queries Review patient notes and ensure accurate, compliant documentation Attend bed meetings and contribute to safe patient flow Supervise and mentor junior staff and HCAs Support service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Ensure adherence to national guidelines, infection control standards, and organisational policies This role requires excellent clinical judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously while supporting a wider team.
