Tissue Viability Nurse | London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust

About this role

Join our forward-thinking Tissue Viability Team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes and reducing harm related to skin integrity. As a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse, you will be part of a specialist service that is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, where innovation, education, and compassionate practice sit at the heart of everything we do. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced clinical leaders, influence practice across the organisation, and develop your expertise in managing complex wounds and promoting skin health. If you are passionate about making a tangible difference, value working within a supportive and progressive team, and want to be part of a Trust that placesquality at its HEART, we would love to hear from you.

The role centres on delivering specialist assessment, planning and management of patients with complex wounds and compromised skin integrity, while supporting and upskilling the wider workforce. You will work autonomously and collaboratively to provide expert advice, lead clinical decision-making, and contribute to service development through audit, education, and implementation of evidence-based practice. We are looking for a clinician with strong clinical judgement, excellent communication and influencing skills, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. You should be confident in managing competing priorities, committed to continuous professional development, and able to translate research into practice. Leadership, teaching ability, and a proactive approach to improving patient care and staff competence are essential, alongside a genuine commitment to quality, safety, and equitable care for all patients.
