Full time, 37.5 hours per week, shifts on rotation, Monday to Sunday At The London Clinic, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Sister / Charge Nurse to join our specialist Haematology team within the Duchess of Devonshire Wing Cancer Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly specialised environment supporting patients undergoing complex haematology treatments and stem cell transplantation. You will play an important leadership role within the ward, helping to ensure the highest standards of patient care, supporting junior staff, and deputising for the Ward Manager when required. This role would suit a confident Band 6 nurse with strong haematology or oncology experience who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care within a specialist setting. The Role As Sister / Charge Nurse within the Haematology Unit, you will support the day to day management of the ward while delivering high quality specialist nursing care to patients undergoing haematology and stem cell transplant treatments. You will be responsible for coordinating patient care, supporting clinical standards, mentoring junior nurses, and ensuring compliance with JACIE and FACT accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality, individualised care to haematology and stem cell transplant patients in line with professional and regulatory standards Support the effective day to day running of the ward and deputise for the Ward Manager when required Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior nursing staff Administer and oversee chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and specialist haematology treatments safely and effectively Monitor patient care, documentation, and clinical standards to ensure safe and effective practice Participate in audits, research activities, SOP reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Contribute to staff recruitment, induction, training, and competency assessments Work collaboratively with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes Maintain compliance with JACIE, FACT, Human Tissue Authority, and other relevant standards and frameworks About You We are looking for a motivated and experienced nurse who is confident working within a specialist haematology or oncology setting and able to lead by example within a busy clinical environment.

You will have

Current NMC registration Post registration experience within Haematology and/or Oncology nursing Experience caring for stem cell transplant patients Competency in blood transfusion and ideally stem cell return Experience administering intravenous cytotoxic drugs Strong clinical knowledge and organisational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities A proactive and patient focused approach to care delivery Good attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Why Join Us?
