London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an outstanding Locum Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine (ICM) to join our expanding and ambitious cross-site Critical Care Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of London’s busiest and most dynamic acute Trusts, serving a diverse population of almost one million people across Brent, Ealing, Harrow and beyond.
This post is ideal for a motivated intensivist seeking a clinical and leadership role within a forward-thinking department with strong ambitions in service development, education, research and governance.
The role
The successful candidate will join a large, experienced and collegiate consultant body and will contribute to
- Consultant-led multidisciplinary ICU care across both sites
- participation in a 24/7 resident-supported on-call rota
- critical care outreach and PACU cover
- leadership in governance, audit and quality improvement
- undergraduate and postgraduate education
- departmental and Trust-wide service development initiatives
- research and innovation activity
Applicants with an additional specialist interest are welcomed. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of:
- echocardiography / focused intensive care ultrasound
- education and simulation
- research / clinical trials
- governance / mortality review / QI
- digital healthcare / EHR optimisation
- organ donation / transplantation pathways
- perioperative medicine / enhanced care
- trauma / neurocritical care / vascular critical care
- Strong speciality interests particularly in Anaesthetics
