About this role

The advertised post is for a 12 month fixed term locum consultant diagnostic radiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our existing team of 86 radiologists based at The Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals who support the existing service and the active training programme. The post will be based at The Royal London Hospital and or St Bartholomew’s Hospital depending on need and subspecialty interest.

The successful applicant should have completed training in diagnostic radiology and be within 6 months of their CCST. They should have a specialist interest genito-urinary and gynae imaging including MDT participation.

1. Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.

2. Helping in development and organisation of the services in his / her charge in line with the Trusts’ business plans. Liaison and communication with the Divisional Manager and Clinical Director for Imaging at Barts Health NHS Trust will be expected.

3. Development of their own interests and specialties within the Imaging service, including active participation in audit programs.

4. Corporate and individual responsibility for the professional management of doctors in training.
