We are seeking a Shift Engineer to support ISS and the site facilities team in making the client site a leading workplace environment for our client.
This role is an integral part of the Engineering team, delivering first-in-class engineering services across multiple skill disciplines in line with client and ISS policy and governance.
Job Description
As a Shift Engineer, you will help protect operations by ensuring all engineering equipment and systems on site remain compliant, resilient and fully operational.
The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and effective coordination of engineering activity to maintain availability of critical assets supporting both client operations and staff facilities.
Shift Pattern
4 nights / 4 off / 3 days / 3 nights / 4 off / 4 days / 6 off
Salary
£49,450 per annum, plus £4,000 shift allowance
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with agreed schedules to maximise plant reliability and operational effectiveness.
Ensure all engineering works comply with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and ISS Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
Maintain statutory compliance of all equipment and systems through regular inspection, maintenance and repair.
Respond promptly and effectively to all reactive maintenance issues and helpdesk requests.
Undertake fault finding and diagnosis relating to both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
Coordinate and manage visiting specialist sub-contractors for scheduled and reactive works.
Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are fully adhered to at all times.
Maintain accurate records and update engineering documentation as directed.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience working within a business-critical environment.
Recognised electrical apprenticeship with qualification as an electrician.
Preferred
LV switching experience with a current LV training certificate.
Preferred
18th Edition qualified.
Good written, verbal and IT communication skills.
A positive and collaborative approach, contributing to a strong team culture.
