Our client, a highly respected educational School in the E17 area is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a Full-time Assistant Head Teacher. As the Assistant Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Teacher in the overall management and leadership of the school. You will be responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of the school's strategic vision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational experiences for our students.
Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to
- Collaborating closely with the Head Teacher to develop and oversee the school's curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to the teaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning, and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Overseeing the coordination and implementation of school-wide policies, procedures, and programmes.
- Representing the school at various stakeholder meetings and events, effectively communicating the institution's values and vision.
- Assuming the responsibilities of the Head Teacher in their absence, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school.
- Participating in the recruitment, selection, and development of teaching and support staff.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and diverse school environment that supports the well-being and success of all students.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience
- A postgraduate degree in Education or a related field, with a strong focus on educational leadership and management.
- Extensive experience as a classroom teacher, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding educational outcomes.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a primary or secondary school setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
- Proven skills in data analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity within the school environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the current educational landscape, policies, and best practices in the United Kingdom.
