Long Term Futures is seeking a patient, resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) in a Haringey primary school.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including ASD and communication difficulties, who is confident working in a structured, specialist setting.

About the Role

Working closely with the ARP lead, SENCo and specialist staff, your responsibilities will include

Providing 1

1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEN

* Supporting pupils with ASD, communication needs and sensory processing difficulties

* Using visual supports, PECS, Makaton or similar strategies

* Assisting with emotional regulation, routines and transitions

* Supporting structured, personalised learning within the ARP setting

* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff

* Helping create a calm, safe and consistent learning environment

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands the demands of a specialist provision within a mainstream school.

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Experience working in an ARP, SEN unit or specialist setting (essential)

* Strong understanding of ASD and complex needs

* Confident using communication and sensory strategies

* Calm, patient and resilient approach

* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
