This is where it starts…

  • Thinking about teaching but not ready to commit to a PGCE just yet?
  • Want to earn, learn, and build real classroom experience before training?

This is not your typical graduate role.

This is your chance to test yourself at the front of a classroom, gain invaluable experience, and fast-track your journey into teaching.

What makes this role different?

  • You’ll be leading lessons, not just observing
  • You’ll gain real teaching experience from day one
  • You’ll be supported by experienced teachers and mentors

This is a launchpad, not a holding position.

  • Support pupils of all abilities to make progress
  • Work closely with departments and senior staff to develop your teaching practice

What you’ll gain

  • Hands-on teaching experience in a supportive environment
  • A full academic year to build your skillset before training
  • Strong references and progression into salaried teacher training routes
  • A genuine insight into whether teaching is the right long-term career for you

1 or above (or predicted)

  • Strong A-Levels and academic background
  • Confident, proactive individuals who want to step up
  • Aspiring teachers looking for a practical route into education

Let’s be honest…

  • Could you stand in front of a class and hold their attention?
  • Do you have the confidence to lead, explain, and inspire?
  • Are you ready to challenge yourself in a fast-paced, rewarding environment?

This is the role people wish they had before jumping into teacher training.
