About this role

We are looking for a higher level Assistant Psychologist to join the Staff Support team on a 24 month fixed term contract, to support with the delivery and evaluation of an expanded offer of staff wellbeing initiatives. The post-holder will work closely with the Lead for Staff Support to deliver, review and evaluate the initiatives within budget and within the agreed timescale.

The post-holder will support the planning, implementation and evaluation of staff wellbeing initiatives through an externally funded project. The project is an extension of a previous 2 year project which focused on meaningfully engaging with as many staff as possible (including both clinical and non-clinical groups) across the Trust, through delivering of Pop-Up Rest & Recharge Hubs and providing evidence-based advice, guidance and interventions to enhance wellbeing. The upcoming project will focusing on continuing to deliver on the Pop-Up Rest & Recharge Hubs, whilst also expanding on the offer to:

  • Increase the reach and access by developing an in-reach provision of hubs for ward staff in their place of work.
  • Support the work taking place in the trust to establish more static staff wellbeing spaces locally

Prior experience of working in staff support, or a related field, and knowledge/experience of proactively engaging with staff across the organisation are essential.

The Staff Support team sits within the Trust's Corporate Psychology & Psychotherapy team and provides evidence based support to staff across the organisation. We oversee the delivery of a range of reflective spaces, including Schwartz Rounds, Critical Incident Staff Support sessions and reflective practice groups. We also undertake in-reach activities aiming to enhance the wellbeing of staff across the organisation.
