About this role
It is expected that the post holder will do regular ward rounds, assist with the MDT, be involved in the management of patients with peri-operative complications, guide the other junior doctors in the team and help in the weekly out-patient clinic. The post holder is expected to help the orthopaedic junior doctors when their patients need some medical input, by giving advice and through planning medical management. In addition, the post holder is expected to participate in regular audits, including the National Fracture Neck of Femur database, and be an active member of the teaching and training in the departments of Orthopaedics and Department of Medicine for Older People.
