About this role
To provide support and guidance for the discharge team ensuring all appraisals and statutory training are in place. Leading and managing the day-to-day business of the discharge pathways, ensuring that the teams have up to date knowledge and managerial competence to perform their roles. Manage and respond to complaints and adverse incidents, including serious untoward incidents. Liaise with the PALS Department regarding informal complaints and where possible actively diffuse complaints to avoid escalation. Working alongside the service manager in managing the discharge team, creating a high performing service which complements the smooth flow of patients through the system
