About this role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the Colposcopy team at the Gynaecology Diagnostics Unit. We care for women who require gynaecology investigations and treatments on an outpatient’s basis such as Colposcopy, Vulval, Hysteroscopy and other minor gynaecological procedures. We also work closely with Cervical screening London. We are currently seeking a registered nurse, who shows enthusiasm and is dynamic, and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post holder must be sensitive to the needs of the women who utilise this service. The post holder must also be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.

- The post holder is expected to perform a supportive role in the colposcopy clinics within the Gynaecology diagnostics unit and provide an optimal level of sensitive care.
- The individual will be a Registered nurse with the NMC or Associate Nurse to assist/support the practitioner in the clinic in undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic sessions.
- The post holder is expected to support the day to day running of the unit, supervise junior nursing staff and adhere to the management standards, trust policies and procedures within the unit.
- The individual is expected to support the Colposcopy specialist nursing team and Clinical Lead in maintaining and delivering integrated care, meeting clinical objectives which will include supporting the ongoing development of the colposcopy service.
