About this role
The Capital Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex capital projects across the Trust’s estate portfolio, typically ranging from £0.1m to £15m in value, ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, within budget and in accordance with NHS governance requirements.
The postholder will manage multiple concurrent schemes including clinical refurbishments, new builds, infrastructure upgrades (mechanical, electrical, BMS, decarbonisation), and compliance-driven works (HTM/HBN, fire safety, water safety, ventilation).

The post holder will be expected to operate in a large and complex environment and make a major contribution to the delivery of the Trust’s agreed objectives. The key duties and responsibilities are outlined below:
- Lead the delivery of allocated capital projects from RIBA Stage 0–7.
- Develop Project Execution Plans and detailed delivery programmes.
- Ensure that capital schemes support the Trust’s agreed objectives and clinical service developments.
- Manage multi-disciplinary design teams, cost consultants and contractors.
- Ensure all projects comply with CDM Regulations and Trust governance procedures.
