About this role

An SPDF will need to be passionate about developing people to enable enhanced quality of care provision to our patients; holding high standards of education and be an advocate for evidence based clinical and educational practices. The post holder will need to be a clinically credible professional and an advocate for excellence in professional practice with a strong work ethic, be self- critical and able to recognise their own limitations and areas for development. The appointee is expected to support the post-registration education portfolio of the Trust while upholding Trust HEART values by offering at least 70% of their time teaching in person.

The post holder will support the delivery of post-registration education portfolio at the Trust by planning , prioritising, leading, overseeing and delivering high quality training programmes for the Trust, including preceptorship, relevant CPDs, 'on the job' coaching, Oliver McGowan Training, competencies at all levels, leadership development, internationally educated nurse OSCE training, competency-based development programmes, essential skills and study events.
