Charge Nurse, Band 7 | Urgent Treatment Centre | Permanent | Full Time / Part Time Considered
As Charge Nurse you will
- Provide visible, accessible and authoritative leadership for the nursing team in the UTC, acting as a role model for excellent nursing practice.
- Hold line management responsibility for nursing staff, including recruitment, performance management, appraisal and professional development.
- Lead on the delivery of safe, high quality, patient-centred care in line with evidence-based practice and Trust standards.
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operational running of the UTC nursing team, including staffing, rotas and skill mix.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including medical staff, Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, audits and quality projects to continuously enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards, including those of the NMC.
