- Develop and implement individualised education plans for students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of your students
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to student support
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school policies and procedures
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and involve them in the educational process
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed of the latest best practices in special education
- Contribute to the broader school community by participating in extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and school events
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Significant experience in the field of special education, with a proven track record of working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of the UK's national curriculum and its implementation in a special educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
