Were looking for an inspiring and organised leader to join us as a Assessment Centre Manager within the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS), supporting delivery across the Work Capability Assessment (WCA) team.
In this role, youll oversee the daily running of one or more Assessment Centres, ensuring that clinicians and non‑clinical teams have the support, resources and guidance they need to deliver high‑quality assessments. Youll take ownership of performance management, staffing, service quality and claimant experience, while helping to drive continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support clinical and non‑clinical teams
- Manage day‑to‑day operations and resource planning across centres and remote teams
- Oversee performance, quality standards and compliance requirements
- Build effective relationships with internal colleagues and external partners
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to a positive team culture
What Youll Bring

Previous WCA experience is essential for this role, as it requires a strong understanding of assessment centre operations, performance drivers, and the unique demands of the WCA environment.
- Experience in supervising or managing people (previous related experience is beneficial)
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A positive, supportive approach to developing teams
