We are currently recruiting confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Hackney. These positions involve supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.

These opportunities are particularly well suited to individuals with previous school-based experience, including those with QTS, ECT status, or aspirations of progressing into teaching and wider education roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support students in remaining focused, engaged, and on task
• Work across KS3 and KS4 classes within different departments
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
• Provide additional classroom and intervention support where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working within a secondary school environment
• Confidence leading classes and managing behaviour effectively
• QTS or ECT status is desirable, but not essential
• A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A good understanding of safeguarding and inclusive educational practice
