Versa Institute London is seeking a dedicated and motivated Academic and Career Guidance Adviser to join our growing academic team.

This role is ideal for an individual with experience in higher education, student support, academic mentoring, career guidance, or professional training environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students throughout their academic journey while helping them develop realistic career pathways and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing academic guidance and pastoral support to students
• Assisting learners with academic progression and study planning
• Conducting student induction and orientation sessions
• Supporting students with assignment preparation and academic engagement
• Delivering employability and career development workshops
• Advising students regarding university progression and professional opportunities
• Monitoring learner attendance, engagement, and progression
• Liaising with academic staff and administrative departments
• Supporting academic compliance and quality assurance activities
• Assisting in maintaining a positive student experience environment

Essential Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in Law, Business, Education, or related field
• Previous experience in academic support, and career advice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative ability
• Ability to work in a multicultural academic environment
• Strong written and spoken English skills

Desirable

• Experience within UK higher education or vocational education sector
• Experience working with international students
• Knowledge of academic quality assurance and learner support systems
• Legal and/or professional education background
• Previous experience in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or educational accreditation processes would be advantageous.
