The Opportunity

Long Term Futures are seeking a supportive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a highly regarded secondary school in the Wandsworth area.

You will work closely with pupils who require additional academic, behavioural, or emotional support, helping them access learning and make consistent progress in a structured and inclusive environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and supporting young people to reach their potential.

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide 1

1 and small-group learning support for pupils

  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN where required
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and learning resources
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and personal development
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people in an education or care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
  • Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusive practice
