We are seeking a passionate and experienced sustainability professional to join ISS as a Lead Energy Manager, working with high-profile clients to develop and deliver ambitious environmental targets across their UK portfolios.
This role offers the opportunity to take a more active, hands-on position in driving energy savings and delivering energy-related services at scale.
Job Description
Operating on a national basis, the Lead Energy Manager will align delivery activities to client targets and support ambitious energy, utility and decarbonisation objectives.
The role includes responsibility for managing a small team of Energy Managers and working as part of a wider on-contract sustainability team to ensure ISS contractual commitments are met and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the effective management of energy resources to meet ISS and client objectives and targets.
Develop ways of working that evidence and deliver energy management activity across client portfolios.
Identify, develop and support implementation of energy and water efficiency opportunities.
Support energy performance contract growth within identified key accounts.
Deliver all energy-related tasks to ensure service provision and compliance.
Inform, motivate and train colleagues and client organisations in good energy and water management practices.
Develop and implement strategic briefs, design guides and standards aligned to customer objectives.
Complete benchmarking activities and undertake energy surveys across a range of premises, including offices, manufacturing and retail sites.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience in energy management or a similar engineering profession.
Strong knowledge of techniques and technologies supporting efficient energy use.
Understanding of opportunities to improve water efficiency and reduce consumption.
Accreditation with a relevant industry body (e.g. CIBSE, EI, ASHRAE).
Proven track record within an energy or technical environment.
Competency in energy and utility benchmarking techniques and statistical analysis.
Understanding of energy metering principles to ensure high-quality data.
Willingness to travel to to various client sites.
