About us At The London Clinic, it is our people who make the difference. We are the UK's largest independent charitable hospital, supporting over 120000 patients each year and reinvesting into our services, technology, and our people. Our Theatre department is a highly skilled and supportive environment, covering a broad range of specialties including Orthopaedics, Spinal, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Ophthalmology, and Cancer services. You will work across both Main Theatre and MITU Day Surgery, gaining exposure to both complex inpatient surgery and high volume day case procedures. MITU specialises in minimally invasive and short stay surgery and is known for its efficient patient flow and strong team culture, while Main Theatre supports more complex surgical procedures using advanced technology and modern surgical techniques. Our theatre teams are recognised for innovation and collaboration, including involvement in pioneering robotic assisted surgery and minimally invasive procedures. The London Clinic was also involved in a landmark robot assisted telesurgery procedure, where surgeons in London successfully operated on a patient in Gibraltar, demonstrating the advanced technology and expertise within our theatre services. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a hospital that genuinely invests in its people and services.

What we are looking for

Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with valid NMC or HCPC registration Previous experience working in a scrub role within an acute hospital environment Strong understanding of perioperative care and infection prevention standards Organised and proactive approach to patient care Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively within a busy theatre environment Interest in ongoing learning and professional development A word from our team To give you a real insight into what it is like to work within our Theatre teams, here is what Oreene Sunglao, Theatre Practitioner, says about their experience at

The London Clinic

"I joined The London Clinic because of its reputation for high quality patient care and advanced surgical services, but what has kept me here is the people. The support within the theatre team is something I noticed straight away, everyone works together and your contribution is genuinely valued. Working across Main Theatre and MITU means no 2 days are the same. You are constantly learning, building your skills, and gaining exposure to a wide variety of procedures and technologies, including robotic surgery. I originally thought I would stay for only 2 or 3 years to gain private healthcare experience before moving on elsewhere. However, I have now just celebrated my fourth year at The London Clinic, and I still feel excited about the opportunities available and continuing to progress my skills as a Scrub Practitioner."
