Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs related to occupational therapy.
Develop and implement individualized care plans to support clients in achieving their personal goals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, healthcare professionals, and family members, to coordinate effective care.
Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving clients’ daily living skills and functional independence.
Advise on and recommend appropriate equipment and environmental adaptations to enhance client safety and mobility.
Monitor and review client progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation following all regulatory and organizational standards.
Requirements
Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience in social care settings, demonstrating a solid understanding of community-based therapeutic practices.
Excellent assessment and intervention skills tailored to diverse client needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and professional guidelines related to occupational therapy and social care.
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning to maintain best practice standards.
