As the Lead SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll be responsible for

  • Providing outstanding one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of SEND needs
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, and providing detailed feedback to the teaching team
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that empowers our SEND students to thrive
  • Coordinating the work of other SEND teaching assistants, ensuring consistency and high-quality support

  • Provide personalised support to students with SEND, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons

  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant, with a focus on SEND support
  • Strong understanding of SEND needs and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrable commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting the holistic development of SEND students
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the students and the school
