About this role
Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Do you have the empathy, patience, and creativity to provide exceptional support and guidance to help them unlock their full potential? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a full-time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) in the vibrant community of Edmonton, Greater London.
At our client, we pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming, and deeply inclusive school that celebrates diversity and embraces the unique strengths of every student. As a SEN TA, you'll be a vital part of our inclusive education approach, working alongside our dedicated teaching staff to ensure that students with a wide range of additional needs receive the personalised support and nurturing environment they deserve to thrive.
Your role will be to provide one-on-one and small-group assistance to students with special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, physical disabilities, or behavioural and emotional challenges. This might involve helping them with academic tasks, offering tailored strategies to boost their confidence and independence, and finding innovative ways to make learning engaging and accessible. You'll also work closely with our special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) and other specialists to develop and implement effective support plans that address each student's specific needs.
But your impact will go far beyond just academic support. As a SEN TA, you'll be a mentor, a confidant, and a beacon of encouragement for the young people in your care. Your warmth, patience, and unwavering dedication will empower them to overcome obstacles, discover their strengths, and unlock their true potential. Whether it's providing a listening ear during a difficult moment, celebrating their successes, or simply being a steady, supportive presence, your role will be truly transformative.
We know that this type of work can be both immensely rewarding and incredibly challenging. That's why we're committed to ensuring that our SEN TAs feel valued, supported, and equipped with the resources they need to thrive. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities will help you continuously expand your skills, while our collaborative, close-knit team will provide a nurturing network of support.
And of course, we also offer a competitive salary, based on your experience and our pay band, which falls within the range of £20,000 - £24,000 per annum. We believe that the work you do deserves to be recognised and rewarded, so you can be confident that you'll be compensated fairly for your extraordinary efforts.
If you share our passion for inclusive education and have the drive, empathy, and creativity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs, we'd love to hear from you. To apply, simply submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you're the perfect fit for this role.
Together, let's create an environment where every student can flourish and reach their full potential. Join our client as a Specialist SEN TA and be the difference that changes lives.
