We're looking for an MEP Commercial Manager to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) team to lead a Major Project.
Location
London - Some travel to Basingstoke may be required.
Hours
Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group, supporting regional businesses across the UK and Strategic Projects on complex, high-value schemes. We operate across custodial, defence, commercial, education health and science sectors, offering full design, construct and commissioning capability.
As Commercial Manager, you'll play a vital role in leading our commercial function, maximising planned gross margin through strategic placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. This role will lead a major project in the Life Science/Healthcare sector, where you will lead the commercial function working closely with our Construction colleagues.
What will you be responsible for?
As an MEP Commercial Manager, you'll be working within the KME team. Your day to day will include
-Leading and managing the commercial team to maximise gross margin and financial performance across projects
-Developing and implementing commercial and procurement strategies aligned with business unit objectives
-Managing contract commercial activities, including risk management, forecasting and monthly reporting
-Overseeing procurement processes, subcontract administration and final account agreements
-Supporting tender submissions and work-winning activities, determining commercial strategies and risk mitigations
What are we looking for?
This role of MEP Commercial Manager is great for you if
-You hold a degree or HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying.
-You're an experienced manager with a proven track record of delivering multiple medium schemes or large complex projects
-You have excellent understanding of main contract forms (JCT, NEC) and contractual administration
-You possess strong technical understanding of MEPH services and how packages interface
-You're a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
