To co-ordinate the clinical activities within the antenatal clinic. Participate in meeting government activity targets. To inform the Midwifery Matron about conditions in the clinic and to ensure that appropriate use is made of midwifery and medical time. Plan and compile duty rotas to ensure appropriate use of midwifery resource. Deputise for the antenatal Matron as required and support in the Leadership and management of the antenatal maternity services. To arrange and develop orientation programmes which familiarise new members of staff with the organisation and clinical demands of the antenatal clinic. Implement individual performance reviews of staff within the antenatal clinic.
