A well-established, global insurance broking organisation is seeking an experienced Account Executive / Technician to join its International Property division, supporting a specialist Political Violence & Terrorism portfolio. Your new role
In your new role as an Account Executive / Technician, you will provide technical and administrative support to a specialist Political Violence team and play a key role in servicing clients and supporting broking activity throughout the placement and servicing life cycle. You will be managing your own workload and supporting wider team priorities to ensure agreed objectives are met. You will also be contributing to team meetings by reporting on progress and supporting the delivery of both individual and collective targets. You will manage allocated projects and assist with additional initiatives as required by the team.
Some of your key responsibilities will include supporting the preparation and production of client and broking documentation, including MRCs and endorsements, as well as ensuring all placements adhere to regulatory, tax and territorial requirements and will respond to market and documentation-related queries. You will also be maintaining accurate records across internal systems, monitor subjectivity and liaise with clients regarding premium payments where required. Additionally, you will work closely with support technicians and IBA teams, checking documentation for quality, accuracy and compliance, and signing client documents where appropriate authority has been granted.
Your role will also include building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and market contacts, responding to enquiries, and supporting mid-term adjustments and renewals. You must keep up to date with relevant market, legal and regulatory developments, complete mandatory training and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of Terrorism & Political violence principles alongside a solid awareness of legal and regulatory frameworks within the insurance market. You will have hands-on experience within your product area and be able to apply this knowledge to support performance and client outcomes. You must also understand how your role contributes to wider team objectives and will be confident working independently while managing competing deadlines.
You should be system-literate with strong numeracy and literacy skills and a consistently high level of attention to detail. You will be a confident communicator who adopts a customer-focused approach and is well regarded by colleagues and clients alike. You will remain calm under pressure, adapt to change and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. It is beneficial if you have achieved or are working towards the Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test where relevant to the role.
