  • Maintain accurate documentation for procedures, configurations, Wi-Fi maps, assets, contracts, and troubleshooting steps
  • Support technical assets across the campus and coordinate with third-party contractors where required
  • Assist with Wi-Fi monitoring, WAP checks, heatmaps, and new wired data connections

Essential skills and experience

  • Hands-on IT support experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Good troubleshooting knowledge of Wi-Fi, LAN, printers, Microsoft 365, and Windows/macOS endpoints
  • Experience supporting meeting room or conference systems such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar
  • Basic understanding of switches, patch panels, structured cabling, access points, and network troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly with non-technical users, guests, contractors, and internal teams
  • Able to document technical processes clearly and consistently
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a small team with varied responsibilities

  • FreshService or similar ITSM/ticketing platform experience
  • Experience in a university, co-working, serviced office, lab, hospitality, or events environment
  • Wi-Fi heatmapping or wireless survey experience
  • Exposure to AV firmware updates, room control systems, digital signage, or audio/video conferencing hardware
  • Basic understanding of HTML, Java, or web-based systems
  • Relevant IT or Computer Science qualification, apprenticeship, degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
