About the role and school

We are seeking an ECT Teacher to join a highly respected specialist SEN school in Waltham Forest from September. This ECT Teacher role is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher looking to begin their career in a supportive, well-structured special school environment. The ECT Teacher will be working with pupils with ASD, Autism and Complex Needs, supporting both academic learning and personal development.

This ECT Teacher position is based at a well-established SEN school that caters for pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism, learning difficulties and associated communication needs. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and excellent staff development programme, making it an ideal environment for an ECT Teacher to complete induction.

The ECT Teacher will benefit from strong mentoring, structured support, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, ensuring they are fully supported throughout their ECT journey.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and highly differentiated learning as an ECT Teacher

Support pupils with ASD and Complex Needs as an ECT Teacher

Plan and adapt lessons to meet EHCP targets as an ECT Teacher

Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and wider staff as an ECT Teacher

Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment as an ECT Teacher

Track, assess and report pupil progress as an ECT Teacher

Qualifications/Experience

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs welcome

· Strong interest or experience in SEN (ASD/Complex Needs)

· Passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners

· Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

· Right to work in the UK
