Practice Nurse

To provide a range of high quality general nursing services and specialist nursing advice and care to patients. Main duties and responsibilities but are not limited to, include: Working autonomously Chronic disease management Wound management including dressings Child and adult immunisations Travel vaccinations Screening Health promotion Ear care Emergency management anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques Child health/child protection Performing ECGs Maintaining and promoting good infection control Telephone consults Effectively and appropriately communicate with the multi-disciplinary team regarding the care of individual patient Attend and participate in clinical and practice meetings when required Proactive in identifying own needs for personal and professional development Aware of the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients staff and visitors Ensure all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with any current Quality initiatives Provide patient care in accordance with current PGDs and clinical protocols Any other duties as required
