A leading multidisciplinary Construction Consultancy has a vacancy for a Clerk of Works to join their team for a mobile role covering London and the Home Counties.

This position is ideal for a technical specialist with a strong eye for detail, specifically regarding fire safety and cladding remediation. You will be joining a consultancy that prides itself on quality and compliance across new build, regeneration, and refurbishment sectors.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements for the Clerk of Works

Conducting site inspections to ensure works align with contract drawings, specifications, and current Building Regulations.

Specialist Focus

Providing oversight on fire safety projects and cladding remediation, ensuring all works meet post-Building Safety Act requirements.

Identifying, recording, and managing the rectification of defects.

Liaising between contractors and the consultancy team to maintain high standards of quality control.

Producing clear, detailed site reports and maintaining meticulous site diaries.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Clerk of Works, preferably within a consultancy environment.

Technical Knowledge

Deep understanding of cladding systems and fire safety compliance is essential.

Professional Standing

Membership of the ICWCI is highly desirable; however, candidates with significant equivalent site experience and a strong technical background are encouraged to apply.

A proactive approach to Health & Safety and quality standards.

Full UK driving license for site visits across London and the Home Counties.
