Main Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical services to the practice population Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations for patients presenting with undifferentiated and diagnosed conditions Assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients appropriately within general practice Prescribe safely and effectively in line with national and local guidance Manage acute and chronic medical conditions Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate Review pathology results, clinical correspondence and other patient-related documentation Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and complete patient records using EMIS Web Participate in safeguarding processes for vulnerable adults and children Support continuity of care and patient safety at all times Quality and Governance Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and audit activities Contribute towards achievement of QOF and enhanced service targets Work in accordance with GMC guidance and professional standards Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements Participate in significant event reviews and learning activities Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation initiatives Team Working Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, care coordinators and administrative staff Participate in regular clinical and practice meetings Support multidisciplinary working across the practice and wider primary care network where appropriate Contribute positively to team culture and staff wellbeing Teaching and Training Premier Medical Centre is a teaching practice and actively supports the development of future healthcare professionals. The successful candidate may have opportunities to support and supervise medical students and trainees where appropriate.
