An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised, proactive, and enthusiastic administrator to join the Diabetes Education Service within the Long-Term Conditions team.
This key administrative role will provide comprehensive support to the Diabetes Education Service, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play an important part in supporting the delivery of high-quality diabetes education services and helping the team achieve its objectives in providing excellent patient care.
The post holder will work closely with patients, carers, healthcare professionals, and colleagues across the service to ensure effective communication, coordination, and administration at all times. Duties will include managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records, coordinating appointments and education sessions, and supporting the wider team with general administrative tasks.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. Previous administrative experience within a healthcare setting would be advantageous.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the Diabetes Education Service
- Process referrals accurately and efficiently
- Produce education packs and teaching resources
- Organise venues and arrange refreshments for education sessions
- Liaise with patients, carers, healthcare professionals, and team members
- Maintain clear and professional communication at all times
- Support the wider Diabetes Service when required, including tasks directed by the DICE Patient Pathway Coordinator
- Assist with health promotion and prevention events, which may include taking patient measurement
