Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivatedService Managerto join theLondon Neonatal Transfer Service (NTS), based at The Royal London Hospital.
This is a pivotal operational leadership role within one of the largest neonatal networks in the UK, supporting the delivery of safe, high‑quality neonatal transport services across London. You will work closely with clinical leaders, senior managers, and regional partners to ensure the service operates efficiently, meets national standards, and continues to evolve in response to patient and system need.
As Service Manager, you will provide day‑to‑day operational, financial, and governance oversight of the London NTS. You will support service development and transformation, manage resources effectively, and represent the service within the Trust and across regional and national forums.
You will be a visible and credible leader, supporting multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced and highly specialised environment, where collaboration, compassion, and clear decision‑making are essential.
The Service Manager for the London Neonatal Transfer Service (NTS) is responsible for supporting the senior NTS team to deliver safe, high‑quality, and responsive neonatal transport services across London. The post holder will provide operational, financial, and governance oversight, support service development and transformation, and represent the service to the London Neonatal Operational Delivery Network, NHS England and specialty commissioners, regional and national partners, while working collaboratively with the host Trust.
The role plays a critical part in ensuring excellent patient care, effective use of resources, and continuous service improvement in line with national standards and local priorities.
