About this role

Clinical Responsibilities Provide care for registered patients including diagnosis, examination and appropriate treatment, investigation and onward referral. Participate in acute, chronic and anticipatory clinical care, preventative care, screening, risk management and patient education, ensuring continuity of care throughout. Undertake and manage the administrative workload generated by the clinical workload and other administration necessary for the running of the practice. Provide appropriate, evidence-based clinical care to patients seen, and arranging appropriate treatment, investigation and referral All aspects of work with reference to agreed practice, local and national guidelines Record data on the practice IT system to a standard compatible with good clinical record keeping and following the practice guidance Record relevant and timely data to aid the practice to meet its targets Prescribe in accordance with accepted clinical practice and guidance, and follow both practice and local policy/procedures Conduct home visits when indicated Participate in the education and training of team members as appropriate Other Responsibilities Awareness of and compliance with all relevant Practice policies/guidelines, e.g. Confidentiality, Data Protection, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice. Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation. Attending training and events organised by the Practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
