The Role
- Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking
- Analyse financial data to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Maintain and develop financial policies, processes, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare quarterly management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Support annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Manage cash flow, credit control, and cost control processes
- Oversee invoicing, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Manage shareholder rental income accounting and reporting
- Support company secretarial functions where required
- Work closely with senior leadership to support budgeting and planning activities
Requirements
Essential
- Experience in financial statements and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Accounting principles and practices
- Robust Analytical Skills with a focus on financial analysis and budgeting
- In-depth understanding of Finance, including planning and forecasting
- Proficient in using financial software and tools
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within retail, property, or market operations, is advantageous
