We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in the Hackney area, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a thriving, community-focused school with a strong and supportive senior leadership team. Staff benefit from a positive working culture where professional development is actively encouraged and ongoing training is embedded across the school. The school continues to grow in strength, with a clear commitment to inclusion and high-quality support for pupils with additional needs.
Depending on performance, there is genuine potential for this role to be extended beyond the initial contract or developed into a permanent position.

Providing 1
1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
- Helping pupils engage with lessons and access the curriculum effectively
- Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
- Working closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team
- Minimum 1 year of Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 experience within the UK
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (within the last 12 months)
- Strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
- Two professional child-related references covering the last two years
- Access to accredited CPD courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management
- Dedicated in-house Training and Development team
- Ongoing support throughout your placement
