A welcoming and well-supported primary school near Tooting Broadway is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their specialist language provision from May half term. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly inclusive setting, supporting a small group of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils with speech, language, and communication needs.

The school offers a collaborative environment with strong SEN support, small-group teaching, and access to experienced specialist staff and therapists, allowing you to deliver tailored and impactful learning experiences.

As an SEN Teacher within the school's specialist language provision, you will

  • Teach a small group of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils
  • Support children with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Create a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work closely with SEN staff, therapists, and the wider school team
  • Promote pupil confidence, engagement, and academic progress through inclusive teaching strategies

  • Qualified Teachers with SEND experience
  • Teachers with Upper KS2 experience
  • Unqualified Teachers with strong SEN or specialist provision backgrounds
  • Practitioners experienced in supporting speech and language needs
  • Individuals passionate about inclusive education and personalised learning
  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Experience teaching or supporting pupils in Year 5 or Year 6
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching and learning approaches to meet individual needs
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
