A welcoming three-form entry primary school in Stepney is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join their established small-group provision on a long-term basis. The school has a strong community ethos, effective behaviour systems, and a leadership team that places real emphasis on staff wellbeing, professional development, and high-quality SEND practice.

You will be part of a collaborative and supportive SEN team, working closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to support pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and MLD. The focus is on delivering personalised learning, structured routines, and consistent support to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

  • Teaching a small group of fewer than six pupils
  • Planning and delivering adapted lessons and personalised learning programmes
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Working closely with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to ensure joined-up provision
  • Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Maintaining clear records, progress updates, and safeguarding documentation
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and/or MLD)
  • Confidence delivering small-group and personalised learning
  • Availability to start ASAP
