We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Head of Science to lead a thriving department at Ark Evelyn Grace Academy. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the curriculum, drive excellent outcomes, and develop a team of committed teachers.
As Head of Science, you will combine outstanding classroom practice with strong leadership, ensuring high-quality teaching, a rigorous and engaging curriculum, and a culture of high expectations where all students can succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and develop the Science department, driving standards, achievement and progress
Line manage and coach staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Design and deliver an ambitious, knowledge-rich curriculum across KS3–KS4 (KS5 where applicable)
Use data effectively to monitor progress, close gaps and raise attainment
Model excellent teaching and support colleagues to deliver consistently strong lessons
Contribute to whole-school priorities and play a key role in academy improvement
