About this role
COORDINATION AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION Ensure annual leave and triage cover and any changes that might affect appointments are clearly marked on the appointment book and communicated to the relevant staff members (i.e. within the rota team, cluster leads, access hub management) Be responsible for co-ordinating appointment book and clinical provision for access hub and liaise with administrative staff and leads around capacity needs. Liaise with Site Managers and front desk teams over appropriate appointment book usage Registrar and other trainee timetables management to ensure timely changes in accordance to the standard registrar appointment schedules Coordinate timetable tutorials for registrars, PAs, Paramedics and allied health professionals when required CPDs coordination to factor in capacity and appointments numbers LOCUM BOOKING Plan with the Cluster Clinical Governance lead to ensure adequate access provision to minimise locum usage Where necessary agree and arrange locum cover Monitor and track locum usage as per Nexus Financial Control policy DATA MANAGEMENT Liaise with the data team to provide monthly demand and capacity access reports for the Nexus Monthly Assurance Dashboard To monitor DNAs and work with Operational Teams and Patient Engagement teams to reduce and minimize DNAs OTHER To be the cluster lead for access and rota implications for service development and any centralising of services To liaise with Target leads over capacity required for target work, chronic disease management, screening and immunisation work and ensure proactive management of clinical capacity to help meet targets To work with patient engagement leads on optimising the patient experience around access. To work with the Nexus IT team and digital leads around developing and extending digital access for our patients and a digital first approach where appropriate. To work with the Nexus IT team and digital leads in developing appropriate priority access for vulnerable patients.
