Healthcare Assistant

This role will Support Registered nurses in the provision of safe and effective patient care, to meet the needs of patients and their families Implement and deliver care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse supported by on-going clinical supervision Establish and maintain communication with a range of people on a range of issues appropriate to them and the situation Report changes noted in patients condition and any concerns expressed by patient/ families to the registered nurse Maintain quality in own work and encourage others to do the same Contribute to the improvement of services Develop own knowledge and skills, and provide information and support to others to help their development Records patient observations and initiates appropriate basic nursing and therapy interventions Performs clerical and administrative duties in the absence of the ward clerk Works co-operatively with others in the unit in ensuring good inter-disciplinary team work to meet the needs of patients with severe complex neuro disability, and their families Perform housekeeping duties as delegated by the Clinical Nurse Manager
