Barts Health NHS Trust and St Bartholomew’s Hospital invites you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join the Interventional Cardiology & Structural departments as part of the Barts Heart Centre.

Applications are invited for the above post which will be based at the Barts Heart Centre, Barts Health NHS Trust.

The Interventional Cardiology department is one of the biggest in the UK and Europe. Interventional Cardiology, along with Electrophysiology makes up one of the three clinical directorates within the Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The Barts Heart Centre is the biggest in the UK with its complement of 10 catherisation labs (5 of which are dedicated to Intervention).

The structural heart intervention program at Barts Heart Centre is the largest in the UK and provides a comprehensive service for patients with acquired and congenital heart disease, including TAVI, Mitraclip, mitral/tricuspid valve interventions, paravalvar leak, hole closures, appendage closures and grown up congenital heart (GUCH) interventions.

St Bartholomew’s Hospital is one of a group of hospitals – Barts Health NHS Trust – the group providing a huge range of clinical services to the population of East London, the City of London, and beyond.

Opportunities exist within all Barts Heart Centre departments to undertake research and education as a part of the Centre of Excellence Strategy of the Trusts.
