About this role
The Breast ANP will provide expert evidence-based advice and clinical expertise within the Breast Surgical Team, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of the patients and their families.
The post holder will independently provide on-going holistic care and treatment for patients including advanced clinical assessment, planning care and treatment and the proactive management of treatment and disease related side effects.
The ANP will work in the clinic, assessing new patients who have been referred to us on the urgent suspected cancer pathway and the breast pain pathway
To be professionally and legally accountable for all work undertaken and to practice at an advanced level of professional autonomy and accountability that is within national breast cancer guidelines, Trust policies and NMC Codes of Conduct
To deliver evidence based expert nursing care exercising a high degree of professional autonomy, demonstrating ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge and experience.
