Consultant in Cardiology

Delivery and organisation of direct clinical care to patients, through all parts of the department, sharing equally in the workload and involving a multi-disciplinary workforce; to support other members of staff in doing so also. Provide clinical leadership, improve the patient experience and ensure the highest quality clinical care. Dedication to service development and quality improvement. Undertaking research both laboratory and clinically-based, within the limits of clinical and service workload publishing and presenting work nationally and internationally. Regular attendance and contribution to the Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention MDTs. Full engagement with the current Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Prevention consultants, ensuring shared clinical decision-making and collaborative case management.
