About this role
You will be working closely with the coordinator and the unit team supporting them with the transfer of patients to and from wards and department in the Hospital.
Your duties will include not only the transfer of patients but to also records equipment, medical gases, specimens and supplies together with other tasks as detailed with in your job description.
To provide an efficient and effective portering /Patient movement Service to Endoscopy department
To respond to tasks allocated the Endoscopy department in line with department procedures.
Transportation of patients between wards/departments.
To move items of furniture/equipment within the department
Visually and verbally risk-assess every patient prior to carrying out any clinical investigation.
Assist with maintaining daily records and statistics of clinical activity.
Occasional exposure to distressing circumstance e.g., vulnerable/aggressive patients and whilst carrying out mortuary duties
