About the role
You will be providing accurate estimates for the supply and fitting of John Lewis window products in customers’ homes. Focus on engaging, inspiring and delighting our Customers in delivering a market leading customer experience.
We are currently recruiting for 4 heads across our London catchment area
X2 based in the Horsham catchment which will cover from Brighton to Kingston
X2 based in the Brent cross catchment covering North, West and Central London areas.
You will have access to a business use vehicle.
- Salary - £30,500 - £43,300.
- Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
- Working pattern - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday on a rota basis
- Location - This is a mobile position and travel is required visiting customers homes. You will be required to attend the office for occasional meetings and training.
Key responsibilities
Using your sales, customer service skills and product knowledge you will be responsible for carrying out a quote on window dressing products (curtains & blinds) and converting the quote into a sale. Your role will also include promoting and providing an accurate quote for the fitting of the selected product.
This role is very independent and although you are provided with your appointments, time management is key to ensure your day runs smoothly.
This is a customer-facing role that involves providing customers with accurate estimates using our computerised systems. The role requires a high level of customer service as you will be visiting customer's properties to complete a full on-site survey for preparation and materials for a number of projects. You will be responsible for providing accurate error free work, demonstrating excellent communication skills and aim to gain an acceptance of the plans you produce from every customer.
The role requires a considerable amount of driving between the branch, customer homes and the service building - a business use vehicle is provided for this purpose. ** Your journey to customer appointments each day will be routed from and then back to your designated ‘home’ branch and you may be required to travel to this location outside of your working hours using your dedicated vehicle.**
You will be required to occasionally visit a John Lewis branch to ensure you are up to date with your product knowledge.
This role is subject to the following pre-employment screening: 3 year references. Basic disclosure. DVLA check.

- IT literacy
