About this role
To act as an advocate for patients within the service, ensuring a patient-centred approach to care delivery, supporting informed decision-making, and promoting dignity, wellbeing and person-centred care at all times. To lead the ongoing development of the specialist service through the development of nurse-led clinics, policies, protocols, guidelines and standards of care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues across the Trust and community settings. To provide specialist education, support and training to nursing staff, students and the wider clinical team, contributing to a positive learning environment and the continuing professional development of staff within the specialty. To lead and contribute to clinical audit, research and quality improvement initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice, monitoring standards of care and supporting service development in line with Trust objectives and clinical governance requirements.
